50 Cent Teases A Collab With GTA Video Game Franchise, Specifically: Vice City and Vice City Stories.
50 Cent went on Instagram and teased another upcoming TV/film project, this one possibly involving the undisputable popular Grand Theft Auto video game franchise, specifically Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. Although it's still speculation because the rap mogul didn't elaborate on the project.
“I will explain this later, GLG,” 50 Cent captioned his post. “Green Light gang. This s**t is bigger than ‘Power,’ trust me. Boom.”
Rockstar Games confirmed in February 2022 that Grand Theft Auto 6 is in the works, so it’s also possible 50 Cent could somehow be involved in the long-awaited game.
50 Cent’s closest confidante, Dr. Dre, previously made an appearance in GTA Online: The Contract in 2021 while also contributing music featuring Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Rick Ross, Anderson .Paak, Ty Dolla $ign and the late Victory Lap maker Nipsey Hussle.
Before Dre was brought on board to collaborate with Rockstar games, however, he apparently wasn’t aware of the whole Grand Theft Auto experience.
“[Dre] had no idea what [Grand Theft Auto] was about because he’s not a gamer at all,” producer DJ Pooh told Rolling Stone. “He never played them. He was blown away [by] how deep you can get into the whole thing. He’s like, ‘Oh shit!’”
50’s longtime friend and collaborator, Eminem, came close to starring in a GTA movie following the release of Grand Theft Auto III in 2001.
