 ICEY/Icy/Da-IcKe is a charismatic and energetic rapper, record producer,film director, actor and entrepreneur repping area code 1060 Ga Masemola. He came up under a rap duo called Wild-Katz consisting of him and his friend and brother from another mother which was then under KP Productions management.
Jimmy Matshele was their then Manager at that time until the duo departed the label due to unforeseen circumstances.

Da-IcKe ZA went on and won HipHop Rap Cyphers in the hood competitions hosted by SK FM affiliates, that's how he solidified his spot in the rap spheres.

ICEY/Icy/Da-IcKe dropped his debut solo mixtape in the year 2012 titled 'Blue Coin Mixtape' while he was still attending high School where he also met a lot plugs and forged some long lasting relationships with the likes of Sniiper Beatz who is the founder of 1060 hip hop uncut blog and Danotorioux Beats of the LITD music when they were still trying to figure out fruity loops and messing with the DAWs.
He also worked with the likes of Marvel-K his day one homie ; D-Reign & JAFAM which birthed the ADT (Awesome Dynamic Twins) rap duo consisting of the twin brothers  ADT Stanford and ADT Clifford who also dropped Songs such as 'physique' with him .
He did a lot of collaborations with a lot of underground rappers around the Sekhukhune cluster from way back  and he still consistently put on the work, taking young cats under his wing and working with different producers & artists around his hood.
 Slaga which he describes as  "a new wave sub-genre of Hip-Hop / Trap from the Southern Eastern part of Limpopo, Ga Sekhukhune in Ga-Masemola Village
 
It was discovered by the ever hustling folk  
[ICEY]Da-IcKe ZA as he was experimenting with various sounds and vernac flow trying to perfect what we & the streets now refers to  as Slaga sounds my Dawg" which is is a fusion of trap,drill, conscious rap delivered with a highly perfected vernac flow.
