Is Areece Self-centered Or Just More Conscious?

Image
Areece, also affectionately known as  Lehlogonolo Ronald Mataboge (born March 27, 1997) is a South African rapper, singer and songwriter who has gained significant success in the music industry. He has been both praised for his music talent and criticized for being self-centered in his lyrics and behavior. But the question is: is he truly self-centered or is he just more conscious and "woke" than others? Firstly, it is important to understand what is meant by "woke" and how it relates to Areece. Being "woke" means being aware of social and political issues and actively striving to make a change. Areece has shown himself to be aware of the injustices and inequalities present in South Africa and beyond. In his music, he addresses issues such as police brutality, racism and the struggle of the working class. Therefore, it could be argued that Areece is indeed more conscious and "woke" than others who do not address such issue

How ambitiouz entertainment robbed Areece and emtee their debut album's rights

Image
Hip hop culture has been a major force in the world of entertainment for decades, providing a platform for artists to express their artistic talents and reach global audiences. However, the path to success in the music industry is fraught with challenges, particularly for aspiring artists seeking to establish their place in the rap game. For South African rappers Areece and Emtee, this path has been particularly rocky, with their debut albums caught up in a legal dispute over rights ownership. The dispute centers around the role of Ambitious Entertainment, the record label that signed both Areece and Emtee in their early careers. The label provided the artists with vital support and resources in the early stages of their careers, including production assistance, studio time, and promotion. However, questions have been raised about the ownership of the artists' debut albums, with Ambitious claiming ownership rights over the recordings. The dispute has sparked a fierce de

Once Upon A Time In Cap City: MashBeatz And Areece Done For Good

Image
MashBeatz On why him and A-reece are done for good. Although they made a lot of beautiful music together, things just had to end. The 'beef' came to light when MashBeatz apparently unfollowed A-Reece on both Twitter and Instagram, which many followers speculated there was some kinda animosity between the two. In a dope catch-up with Slikour, the former Areece go-to beatsmith  was asked why he hasn’t been cooking music with Baby boy Reece.   “Then you know the next question they want to know is so, why haven’t you been making with A-Reece,”   asked Slikour. In his response  Mashbeatz  said that he and A-Reece are brothers but they had a fallout about things they did not get the chance to fix.  “ Well, me and Reece we’re brothers and we had fallout about things that we never had like a chance to communicate about,”  Asked whether he is open to doing work with Reece when the opportunity comes, Mashbeatz said;  “For me it’s like, like I said, its us moving on to the nex

Cassper Nyovest Culture Vulture Tendencies In Mzansi Hip Hop

Image
Finally when Nyovest steam blew over, He was desperately trying to shed his image and preserve the momentum so he ran to Amapiano to suck the newly found genre dry too. We are not jabbing at Cass or something like that at all. It's just that it is purely annoying but to Cassper Nyovest these corny capitalism tendencies are paying off and keeping him on top of charts. It is no surprise that other fellow Mzansi hip hop artists are following this corny trend and embracing it. Last year the Pretoria based rapper Areece took to Twitter without name dropping anyone and said "They don't see Hip Hop as a culture they see it as a commodity" Of course Cassper Nyovest did not take that very well and he tweeted "Le tla shwa ka tlala for the culture. No zo lamba boy!!! Hehehe!!!". But Areece is still getting his fair piece of the pie while topping charts and scooping awards and not forgetting the Blackballing by certain industry gatekeepers. And o
