Is Areece Self-centered Or Just More Conscious?

Areece, also affectionately known as
Lehlogonolo Ronald Mataboge (born March 27, 1997) is a South African rapper, singer and songwriter who has gained significant success in the music industry. He has been both praised for his music talent and criticized for being self-centered in his lyrics and behavior. But the question is: is he truly self-centered or is he just more conscious and "woke" than others?
Firstly, it is important to understand what is meant by "woke" and how it relates to Areece. Being "woke" means being aware of social and political issues and actively striving to make a change. Areece has shown himself to be aware of the injustices and inequalities present in South Africa and beyond. In his music, he addresses issues such as police brutality, racism and the struggle of the working class. Therefore, it could be argued that Areece is indeed more conscious and "woke" than others who do not address such issues in their music.
For years, Areece has been considered one of the most influential and talented rappers in South Africa. He has amassed a large following due to his distinctive flow, thought-provoking lyrics, and impressive musical abilities. However, there has been much debate about Areece's behavior towards his fellow South African rappers.
Some fans argue that Areece has a tendency to be arrogant and dismissive towards his peers in the music industry. They point to instances where he has criticized other rappers publicly or made snide comments about them on social media. There have also been rumors of feuds between Areece and other prominent artists, with some suggesting that he refuses to collaborate or associate with certain individuals.

However, others defend Areece, claiming that he simply has high standards for his craft and is not afraid to voice his opinions. They argue that his “tough love” approach is necessary to push the South African rap scene forward and ensure that only the best talent rises to the top.
